Pictures, Pictures, and Pictures Oh My!

Family Picture night. 

They were all smiles not knowing what lied ahead of them. 

Shoe drop. You know I've never lost a shoe like this in the wide open but we bar our cars when we run in a store for a brief moment. 

I tried to be quarterback but to not much avail. 

One if the first and one of the best. We didn't stop there. We kept searching for that magical shot. 

Starting to go downhill.  I sorta like this one alot though. 

There's always time to make a few campaign shots just in case. 

Wow. When did time kick in on this guy?

Nice smile. GQ may want them digits. 

Ok everyone huddle up. Steven is on lookout. 

They look so calm and peaceful.

Doing what she loves 

Family photo night was actually not that bad. I did come to the realization that a lot of my vacation memories come from picture night. I'm thankful to have the family I have and maybe a photo is just one simple way to try and put this time in capsule to be enjoyed at a later time.

How many folks can you fit in one car? When we set out on this adventure we had no idea how much fun you can have when you cram 7 people with luggage in a car made for 4 on these type trips.  Sheldon. Chicks dig geeks..... HE makes all things new

My oldest son purchased the taj mahal of dog kennels. It is extremely nice and we installed it in the backyard in the middle of two nice bushes. Over time the grass started to grow and I kept dropping subtle hints to both of my boys that it would be much easier to keep the kennel clean daily than to let the grass grow and get out of hand. I held out hope that the day would come when it would get so bad that they would want to clean it back up. Well my oldest picked today. The first day of the brand new school year for the task. It was a loooooong day. It was a good day but a loooooong day. I was exhausted before I made it home. We both rolled up our sleeves and got after it. There was grass to cut, stones to wash, and holes to fill with dirt. Several hours into the job things were starting to look good.
